Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The Ekai is a winner. The facility is very new and clean. It is centrally located close to the Toyohashi train station, restaurants, and a large grocery store. Mr. Watanabe, the owner, is super friendly, speaks English, and often is in the common area in the evening conversing with guests. Plenty of hot water in the showers, on site laundry facilities, bikes to ride for exploring the city are other plusses. Did I mention the well stocked kitchen, and new induction range, perfect for those who like to cook? I cooked my own omelettes each of the four days I was there. Besides the grocery store nearby, there are plenty of convenience stores with other things to cook or put in the microwave. I will stay here again if I am again in Toyohashi.

Negative: When Í was by myself in the kitchen area, I couldn't find a way to turn off the background music. And, there was no spatula in the kitchen. I should have bought one to contribute to the utensil drawer. Instead, I used chopsticks to flip my omelettes. Minor points all.
