Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Super clean. I love that everyone has to take off their shoes at the hotel entrance - yes, even before you reach the checkin counter. The entire place has wooden flooring or tatami mats. There is something special about walking everywhere barefooted (or with socks). Onsen is great. The lounge provided free ramen/snack/ice cream at certain timings. Also was very near the shrine, konbini etc.

Negative: The kaiseki was a little disappointing for me. I have eaten at many ryokans and this didnt meet my expectations unfortunately. Its not bad, just nothing special.

Summary: Luxury ryokan, barefoot on arrival!
