Summary: Hagi Yado no Tomoe is an elegant traditional inn. While the outside is pleasant and clean, once inside you will enter a rare and elegant world. The facilities are immaculate and it is clear every decision is made with exceptional taste. The staff are polite, extremely kind and respectful of privacy. The rooms are gorgeous, and the multiple course Kaiseki dinners are delicious and incredibly beautiful. They also have a lovely selection of local pottery on display for sale. Today,upon departure, I did their sake brewery tour. The guide and staff driving couldn’t have been nicer, and the sake master was so down to earth and kind. I also enjoyed a sake tasting and purchased a small bottle to take home. After the tour they recommended a lovely place for lunch, making sure I knew where to catch my but to return to Yamaguchi City. While in Hagi I particularly enjoyed my visit to Toukouji Temple and the surrounding area. My stay at Hagi Yado no Tomoe was delightful in every way. I hope to return.
